Deadline day
Phew, it’s finally over!
Yes, of course I’m talking about the transfer deadline in the English Premier League. Being a Chelsea fan, I can’t say I’m too unhappy. Juan Mata from Valencia, Romelu Lukako from Anderlecth and Raul Meireles from Liverpool are the major ones to me. We – yes, I say we – also got some exciting new talent in with Thibaut Courtois from Genk, Oriol Romeu from Barcelona and Ulises Davila from Chivas. Davila is going straight on loan to Vitesse Arnhem, and we also have Gaël Kakuta and Patrick van Aanholt going on loans to Bolton and Wigan, respectively. All in all this will be an interesting first season with Villas-Boas, and even though he doesn’t like being compared to Mourinho, I can’t help but hope that he will bring in the same kind of results.
